Now how does this relate to our new mushroom coffee?
The term "java" has a historical association with coffee.
It originates from the Indonesian island of Java, which has a significant history of coffee cultivation and trade.
In the 17th and 18th centuries, Java was renowned for its thriving coffee plantations and became synonymous with coffee production.
Due to its prominence as a coffee-growing region, the term "java" began to be used colloquially as a slang term for coffee in various parts of the world.
Over time, it became a common nickname for coffee, particularly in English-speaking countries.
Thus, "java" is a term often used informally to refer to coffee, evoking its historical connection to the island of Java and the rich coffee heritage associated with it.
To make the connection even further :) I was also fortunate enough to grow up in the house of which Princess Caraboo moved into.
