Our Story

In 2013, I was working 15-hour days in Silicon Valley at Bebo.com.

My answer to the relentless pace? Coffee.

1x Americano at 8 am
1x Flat white at midday
1x Cappuccino around 3 pm

That’s on a good day. On a bad day? Double it.

I believed caffeine was my superpower, the key to productivity and success.

We’ve all been there—feeling invincible with that first cup of coffee.

My Facebook profile made me look like some strange kind of coffee influencer.

I’d bought into the culture of less sleep and more work.

The stronger the coffee, the better, I thought.

From Bulletproof Coffee—a potent mix of Brain Octane, butter, and light roast coffee—to “Red Eyes” (a double-shot espresso over brewed coffee), these concoctions made me feel as if I were levitating.

I held one core belief: the more caffeine I consumed, the more energy I’d have, the more I’d accomplish.

It couldn’t have been further from the truth.

Addiction wears many faces.

I was never interested in alcohol, smoking, or drugs.

But I was addicted to caffeine.

The Turning Point.

By 2016, I hit a wall. My anxiety was relentless through the roof, my focus scattered, my energy fleeting, and my sleep non-existent.

I realised I wasn’t living; I was just surviving. I was trapped in a cycle of stress and burnout.

I started asking myself deeper questions:
– What would be more loving for me?
– What would be more loving for my body?
– What would be more loving for my mind?

I made two lists: one of how I wanted to feel and one of my anti-goals list (things I no longer wanted to experience.)

What I Wanted to Feel:
• Calm, not chaotic
• Present, not stressed
• Focused, not scattered
• Energised, not crashing

My anti-goals
• Jitters
• Afternoon slumps
• Gut inflammation
• Sleepless nights

Living in San Francisco, I’d heard a lot about mushroom coffee.

People I deeply respected were experimenting with these powerful medicinal mushrooms and adaptogens.

These ingredients changed everything for me.

Lion’s Mane for cognitive performance.
Cordyceps for stamina and sustained energy.
Reishi for recovery and immunity.
Chaga for vitality.
Turmeric for inflammation.
Cacao for mood elevation.

I started mixing them every morning, replacing my coffee ritual.

At first, the drinks tasted terrible but worked.

Over time, they became drinkable—and then, enjoyable.

The first week without caffeine was brutal—withdrawals, fatigue, and irritability.

Wondering if I’d made a mistake. My body craved caffeine.

But after that challenging week, something incredible happened.

I felt a new kind of energy—steady, natural, and, most importantly, sustainable.

My mind cleared, my anxiety gone.

I woke up refreshed, and I felt truly present for the first time in years.

Counter to everything I believed, I found myself more connected to my work and—most surprisingly—more productive.

Breaking free from caffeine wasn’t just about finding a new drink; it was about rediscovering myself.

For five years, I worked on this recipe, which would later become Moksha.

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”
— Steve Jobs

Now, I had something I drank daily thoroughly tested.

Friends started noticing the change in me and asked what I was drinking. I shared little bags with them, and soon, they were feeling the same shift.

When they started tell me the same effects as me, I realised I might be onto something.

But I had no brand, no design, no idea what it should look or feel like.

And that was about to change...

In 2020, I ran the Bordeaux Marathon, which took me to this amazing house.

From the moment I walked in, I was captivated.

It was filled with the most beautiful paintings.

I've always loved art.

I was an art scholar at university, and my first job after graduation was buying and selling limited-edition prints by Banksy.

I wondered if somehow I could incorporate this beautiful art into my story?

I reached out to the artist, sketched my idea on paper, and explained why I’d created this drink.

The artist loved it and gave me the go-ahead to use his designs and No Ordinary Moments was born.

Since then, I've been on a mission to create a range of SuperLattes, think your coffee shop favourites but way healthier.

With no sugar, no dairy, no sweetners, no fillers, nothing inflamatory and no shortcuts.

And lots of mood-lifting ingredients that help you feel your best every day.

The big picture.

We live in a world that values more: more productivity, more success, more energy.

But this “more” often comes at a long-term cost—burnout, anxiety, and feeling disconnected from what truly matters.

What if changing something as small as your daily drink could change your life? Could it help you slow down, find balance, and truly feel good?

This journey started with me, but maybe I am not alone.

It’s about anyone ready to break free from the cycle of overstimulation and rediscover what it feels like to be present, connected, and alive.

And it all begins with one simple choice.

Sip differently. Think differently.
